Tocotek-TNC is a powerful dermatological cream that combines five active ingredients—Clobetasol Propionate (0.05%), Neomycin (0.10%), Tolnaftate (1.00%), Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline (1.00%), and Ketoconazole (2.00%). This formulation is designed to effectively treat mixed bacterial and fungal skin infections with accompanying inflammation, itching, or redness. Clobetasol Propionate is a highly potent corticosteroid that helps reduce swelling, itching, and redness by suppressing inflammatory responses in the skin. Ketoconazole is an antifungal agent that works by disrupting the fungal cell membrane, treating fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, and seborrheic dermatitis. Tolnaftate is another antifungal that inhibits the growth of dermatophytes responsible for skin infections. Neomycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that combats bacterial growth by interfering with protein synthesis. Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline adds additional antimicrobial action by inhibiting the growth of both bacteria and fungi. This combination makes Tocotek-TNC suitable for treating complex skin conditions where both fungal and bacterial elements are present, such as infected eczema, intertrigo, or mixed-type dermatitis. The cream should be applied in a thin layer to the affected area as directed by a physician, typically twice daily. It is intended for external use only and should be avoided near the eyes or on broken skin.
