Starsita-Forte is a prescription tablet that combines Sitagliptin (50 mg) and Metformin (1000 mg) in a prolonged-release (PR) form. It is used to help control blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This combination works synergistically to improve glycemic control in patients who do not respond adequately to Metformin alone. Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 (dipeptidyl peptidase-4) inhibitor.
