Starita-100
Description_Effects
Starita-100 contains Itraconazole 100mg, a potent antifungal medication used to treat a wide range of fungal infections affecting the skin, nails, mouth, throat, lungs, and internal organs. Itraconazole belongs to the triazole class of antifungals and works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption weakens the membrane structure, leading to leakage of cell contents and ultimately causing the death of the fungus. Starita-100 is commonly prescribed for conditions such as tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), oral thrush, vaginal candidiasis, and more serious systemic infections like aspergillosis and histoplasmosis. It may also be used in onychomycosis (fungal nail infections), where prolonged therapy is often required. The medication is best taken after a full meal to enhance absorption. Treatment duration depends on the severity and location of the infection. Patients should complete the full course even if symptoms subside early to prevent recurrence and resistance.
