San-Dine
Description_Effects
San-Dine contains Povidone Iodine, a broad-spectrum antiseptic used to prevent and treat infections in wounds, cuts, burns, and minor abrasions. It is widely recognized for its ability to kill a wide variety of harmful microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa. Povidone Iodine releases iodine slowly when applied to the skin or mucous membranes, which works by penetrating microbial cells and disrupting their structure and function, ultimately leading to cell death. This makes San-Dine effective in cleaning wounds, preventing infection, and promoting a healthy healing environment. It is commonly used in pre-surgical skin preparation, first-aid treatment of injuries, and in hygiene practices to reduce the risk of skin infections. Unlike traditional iodine solutions, Povidone Iodine is less irritating and better tolerated by most skin types. To use San-Dine, apply a sufficient quantity to the affected area after cleaning and drying it properly. Avoid using it on large open wounds for extended periods without medical supervision. While generally safe, overuse or application on very large areas can lead to systemic absorption and potential side effects. If irritation or allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
