Fymika-500 is an antibiotic medication that contains Amikacin 500 mg, used for treating serious bacterial infections. It belongs to the aminoglycoside class of antibiotics and is highly effective against a wide range of Gram-negative bacteria and some Gram-positive organisms. Fymika-500 works by interfering with bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping the growth and multiplication of harmful bacteria. This medicine is commonly prescribed in hospital or clinical settings for the treatment of life-threatening infections such as meningitis (infection of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord), respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs), bone and joint infections, abdominal infections, bloodstream infections (septicemia), and infections of the skin and soft tissues. Fymika-500 is administered via intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection and is typically used under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
