FYflox-OZ
Description_Effects
FYflox-OZ is a combination medication commonly used to treat diarrhoea and dysentery caused by bacterial and protozoal infections. It contains two active ingredients: Ofloxacin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, and Ornidazole, an anti-protozoal and antibacterial agent. This dual-action formula makes FYflox-OZ highly effective in managing mixed infections of the gastrointestinal tract. Ofloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme necessary for the replication of bacteria, effectively stopping their growth and multiplication. Ornidazole, on the other hand, works by damaging the DNA of protozoa and certain anaerobic bacteria, leading to their elimination. Together, they provide a comprehensive treatment for conditions such as traveller’s diarrhoea, amoebic dysentery, and bacterial gastroenteritis. FYflox-OZ provides quick relief from symptoms such as frequent loose stools, abdominal cramping, and bloating. It helps restore normal bowel function by clearing the infection from the gut. This medicine should be taken as prescribed by a healthcare professional, usually after meals to reduce gastric discomfort. Completing the full course is important to ensure that the infection is fully treated and to prevent resistance. Common side effects may include nausea, headache, metallic taste, or dizziness. It is not recommended for children unless advised by a doctor.
