FLUZEET is an antifungal medication used to treat and prevent a wide range of fungal infections affecting the skin, mucous membranes, and internal organs. It contains Fluconazole, a triazole antifungal agent that works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This action disrupts the integrity of the fungal cell, ultimately leading to its death. FLUZEET is commonly prescribed for treating fungal skin infections such as ringworm (tinea corporis), athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and candidiasis (yeast infections).
