DENPOZIN-GM2
Description_Effects
DENPOZIN-GM2 is an oral medication used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly in adults whose blood sugar levels are not adequately controlled with diet, exercise, and a single antidiabetic medicine. This triple-drug combination contains Glimepiride, Metformin, and Pioglitazone, which work through complementary mechanisms to improve blood glucose control. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin. Metformin, a biguanide, reduces glucose production in the liver and improves the body's response to insulin. Pioglitazone, a thiazolidinedione, enhances the body’s sensitivity to insulin, helping cells use glucose more effectively. Together, these ingredients help lower blood sugar levels, reduce HbA1c, and minimize the risk of diabetes-related complications such as neuropathy, retinopathy, kidney issues, and heart disease. DENPOZIN-GM2 is usually taken once daily with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea or stomach upset. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is essential while on this medication. Possible side effects may include hypoglycemia, weight gain, fluid retention, or mild swelling. It is not recommended for patients with severe liver or kidney problems, or heart failure. Lifestyle changes such as a healthy diet, regular exercise, and routine medical follow-ups significantly enhance the effectiveness of this treatment.
